SAP Master Data Manager

Currently, we are on the verge of rolling out SAP, starting in Belgium and continuing the implementation in 26 (and counting) international subsidiaries. The quality of Master Data, however, could be better. We are therefore welcoming an SAP Master Data Manager to govern and protect this crucial asset from being polluted ever again in SAP.

Purpose of the position

Your main mission involves the setup of a Master Data Governance architecture that ensures a high-quality level of Master Data throughout the systems. In order to succeed, you will build and lead a team in an international shared service model to maintain your Data Governance architecture. In parallel, you will gain expertise in QlikView BI and will support the organization in using QlikView Reporting and Self-Service BI. You collaborate with SAP Project Teams, ICT and Master Data Owners.

Your key responsibilities

• Ensure the use of a common language at the Master Data level and manage the metadata (definition of a company dictionary, inventory of data sources, data standardization, ...).
• Create a Master Data Governance architecture with specific supporting tools and processes.
• Determine the roles and accountabilities regarding data governance throughout the organization and coordinate activities with Master Data Owners.
• Steer and support the organization’s transformation towards the use of the Master Data Governance processes and tools.
• Become knowledgeable in creating QlikView reports and take on reporting activities.
• Promote, train, and support the organization in the use of Self-Service BI. 

What do we expect from you?

• Conceptual understanding of data structures and modelling is needed for this position. As is a strong interest in data and reporting tools.
• Basic knowledge of database technologies like SQL is required. Having worked with SAP and reporting tools is a plus.
• You can elaborate with enthusiasm and pride on successfully designed and implemented processes together with the team you manage(d).
• You speak a very good level of Dutch and English.
• Travel will sporadically be necessary.
