Customer Service Agent

In our special and challenging Supply Chain, where living products have a short shelf life and are transported under conditioned transport, Biobest strives for a high Customer Service and Customer Intimacy level.

At the head office in Westerlo, we breed bumblebees, mites and beneficial insects, or we buy crop protection products to process and package them. We transport our products and critters to growers in more than 60 countries, where they determine the health of their crop and also the size of their yield. In this context, working with living material is very deadline-bound and challenging.

Today, the dynamic and customer-oriented Customer Service team welcomes a new colleague to take care of the wild travel plans of our critters.

Your responsibilities

After a training period, as a Customer Service Agent, you will become the first point of contact for our customers, and you will be responsible for handling orders and any complaints. You will be the pivot between different departments, such as Purchasing, Finance, Production, Transport, Sales, Dispatch and Warehouse. You report to Patricia, Team Leader Customer Service. In concrete terms, your job entails:

Entering, adjusting and following up on customer orders in SAP.
Preparing the export documents and transport entries of each shipment.
Provide the necessary information to all those involved.
Handle the invoicing of the sales order.
Participate in the daily team meetings about operational matters and any issues.

By actively thinking about increasing customer satisfaction and providing solutions in case of problems, you will help lift our Customer Service department to an even higher level.

What do we expect from you?

You are a real team player and have a positive attitude.
You are customer-oriented and take initiative.
Experience in drawing up export documents is a plus.
Your communication skills are very strong, both verbally and in writing.
You work accurately, you like a challenge, and you know how to keep it cool during busy moments.
You have a good knowledge of English, Dutch and knowledge of French is an asset.
