With the world of biological control growing faster every day, our company also is growing worldwide. Biobest recently opened a new production facility in California, USA. With this local position in the market, we will be able to serve the Californian region and also produce the most important products in our own facilities. Local production ensures the high quality of our products and supports our clients in their daily business.
Biobest also welcomes Kim Gallagher Horton to its team as its representative for California and western USA. Kim joins the Biobest team with more than 15 years of experience working with insects and mites. She started raising beneficial insects during college at the United States Department of Agriculture’s Center for Medical, Agricultural and Veterinary Entomology in Gainesville, Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Entomology & Nematology, she began researching and developing artificial diets for generalist predators, along with the production systems for these predators. In 2003, she relocated to the San Joaquin Valley in southern California to mass rear predatory mites and beneficial insects for field crops. Her focus has been developing sustainable programs for controlling spider mites and mealybugs in vineyards, orchards and foliage plants.
