Biobest Group is an international leader in "biological crop protection". We produce and market beneficial insects for biological and integrated pest management, as well as bumblebees for natural pollination. Our portfolio also includes products such as scouting and monitoring systems, pheromones and "biological plant protection products".
We are looking for a Crop Specialist - biological plant protection who will provide our sales partners and customers in Germany with technical assistance at the highest level in direct contact.
The job
- As a crop specialist, you will be responsible for selling and providing technical advice on our products to our customers. You will work throughout Germany and become part of our dedicated team of specialists.
- Demonstrate the optimal use of our products to our existing and new customers during regular visits. Bumblebees for pollination, biological plant protection with beneficial insects, monitoring and population control in protected cultivation (vegetables, ornamental plants, soft fruits, ...). Complete reporting rounds off your observations at the customer's site.
- Analyse the needs of your customers and set priorities in coordination with the area manager in Germany to promote and develop successful organic crop protection for the growers.
- You have no fear of contact, are committed, motivated and can approach potential new customers.
Your qualifications/profile
- Residence in Germany
- Master gardener, Bachelor or Master degree in agricultural or horticultural sciences
- Several years of experience especially in integrated pest management and biological pest control and pollination are highly advantageous
- Technical background combined with commercial thinking (cost-benefit ratio)
- Broad knowledge of agriculture and protected cultivation (tunnel and greenhouse production)
- Independent, goal-oriented, open-minded, committed and flexible person with the willingness to travel constantly in the area of operation
- Good listener with the ability to analyse situations and make decisions independently.
- Oral and written command of German and English is mandatory for this job.
- Good experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
