This standard hive contains a colony of Bombus atratus. This bumblebee species is native to South America. At delivery this hive counts more than 80 workers and has an activity span of 8-10 weeks. In presence of high quality and nutricious pollen, some hives have developed very large colonies with a useful activities up to 14 weeks.
