  • Grey field slug (Deroceras reticulatum)
  • Brown field slug (Deroceras panormitanum)

  • Small snails (living in the substrate)

What are the benefits of NemaFence® Phasma?

  • Efficient and entirely biological way to control soil-dwelling slugs
  • Safe for humans, animals, and the environment
  • Easy to use
  • No pest resistance problems

How does it control pests?

  • Infective juveniles actively search the soil for slugs
  • They penetrate their prey through the respiratory opening under the mantle
  • Once inside, they release symbiotic bacteria
  • Infected slugs stop feeding within 3 to 5 days
  • The nematodes multiply inside the slug
  • Eventually the slug dies due to toxic compounds produced by the symbiotic bacteria.
  • When it starts to decompose, a new generation of nematodes disperses in search of their next prey

In which crops is NemaFence® Phasma effective?

  • Soft fruit crops
  • Public green
