Prestop® 4B is a biofungicide containing spores and mycelium of the antagonistic fungus Gliocladium catenulatum. This antagonist is to be disseminated by bumblebees (via the Flying Doctors® Hive). By protecting the flowers against B. cinerea, application of G. catenulatum effectively decreases fruit losses at harvest and post-harvest, as well as improving fruit shelf life. Prestop® 4B is mainly used in a preventive way in greenhouse crops of strawberry and raspberry.
Prestop® 4B contains 1x 108 cfu / g of Gliocladium catenulatum strain J 1446 and is available in a 100 g sealed aluminum bag and a 1 kg plastic bucket. Both packages contain a 8 g measuring spoon.
In Belgium Prestop® 4B is only available in an omni-dose pack, containing 10x 30 ml (8 g) plastic tube.
