Fusarium wilt disease

Fusarium spp. cause wilting in a large number of crops. Infection starts via the root and will subsequently clog the vascular bundles, causing the water balance to be disrupted and the plant will wither. When the plant is cut through, a black coloration of the vascular bundles will also be observed.
